The Quarry extracts stones from the surrounding area, the second basic resource besides wood that almost every building needs for construction or upgrades.

Yield and Attributes

Here too, the character's strength mainly determines the yield. The job increases strength and vitality, while dexterity and intelligence drop slightly while working in the Quarry.

Dependence on the Map

The job relies on tile resources and only works if your city has occupied map tiles with stones. If those tiles are depleted or none are occupied, the job cannot be started, or is limited to the amount actually still available on the map.

Why Upgrading Pays Off

As the building level rises, the productivity factor and therefore the amount of stones per work hour grow. Stones are refined into stone blocks at the Stonemason, needed for sturdier and higher level buildings.
