Titles are distinctions that characters in Legends of Arthengard carry next to their name. They are purely decorative and grant no bonuses to attributes, combat stats, or production. Their value lies in prestige: a title shows at a glance where a character has excelled. In a Twitch community game where an entire city is built and defended together, that is a visible form of recognition within the community.
The Three Tier Title System
Almost every title exists in three tiers that differ significantly in rarity.
Regular titles such as Slime Slayer or Builder indicate that a character has already done a lot in that area. They are the entry level and can be held by any number of players at the same time.
Master titles such as Master Slime Slayer or Master Builder mark the best character in a city in that area. Only one person per city holds such a title at any time, and it changes hands as soon as someone else takes the lead.
Legendary titles such as Legendary Slime Slayer or Legendary Builder sit at the top of the system. They identify the best character in the entire game, across all cities. They are correspondingly rare and correspondingly contested.
What Titles Are Awarded For
There is a title for every farming job and for every monster. Anyone who consistently chops wood, mines ore, or produces food is automatically working toward the matching title. The same applies to combat: every monster type has its own title tied to the number of enemies defeated. Progress toward a title therefore happens naturally during regular play. You can see your current progress towards every title on the character statistics page.
Special Titles
Alongside the three tier system there are titles tied to specific events or contributions that cannot be earned through gathering or fighting alone.
Pionier:in was granted to everyone who took part in the alpha phase. The title is permanently closed and can no longer be earned retroactively.
Messenger of Arthengard goes to players who are responsible for the founding of a new city. Anyone who brings a streamer to the game, and with them a new community to Arthengard, is visibly recognized for it.
Individual Titles
Beyond that, the development team hands out individual titles directly, for outstanding achievements or exceptional situations in the game. These titles can be recognized by the fact that they exist in only one language, meaning they do not appear in both language versions of the game. They are one of a kind and cannot be deliberately pursued.
Divine Titles
Divine titles form their own group within the individual titles. They mark accounts belonging to the development team and are therefore not obtainable by players. If you come across a character with a divine title, you are dealing with a game dev account.
